The big idea for this section is that intentional and informed literacy instruction by teachers at every grade level allows all children to learn to read. In this session, we explore the following learning targets:
- Deepen understanding of developmental stages of reading
- Understand observation as powerful informal assessment and a precursor to further planning
- Explore observable reading behaviors and systems for observation
